AKMG is pleased to welcome our newest member to the team, Layne Kennedy!
Layne joins AKMG with over 5 years of affiliate marketing experience, focusing on mass scale CPA. Her diverse and cultivated rolodex is comprised of both the affiliate and advertiser contacts, helping ensure her success in the AKMG Affiliate Management Department.
A graduate of Loyola Marymount, Layne got her start in the online advertising space working as an Account Manager in search, eventually managing many Fortune 500 and agency accounts including Microsoft, Wells Fargo and University of Phoenix. After a few years of tackling the agency world, Layne brought her talent to the CPA/CPL space specializing in online dating, and spent the last 2 years working for an advertiser/affiliate network before joining us at AKMG! You have probably seen her at an Affiliate Summit or two... And if you haven’t, you can meet her this month at ASE booth 217.
In her spare time outside of getting affiliates to run offers, you can find Layne soaking up the rays on LA beaches, or traveling from one destination to another. We hear she has one mean Kick Serve on the tennis courts as well!
Welcome Layne!
AKMG is pleased to welcome our newest member to the Affiliate Management team, John Cody. Miami-born, John joins AKMG with over 10 years of experience in online marketing. His past endeavors include helping companies such as Mantra Films, MyLife.com, and Bidz.com meet their online marketing goals. John Cody has achieved these goals and "VIP" affiliate manager status by maintaining key relationships with publishers who have a proven track record of providing quality results. Long story short... He knows how to make things happen and make money! We are very excited to have John on the team... And you thought we only hired females! John will be reaching out to some of you over the next few days... Or if you just can’t wait to start making more money, you can always contact him with the below info!

It’s hard to think just how many meetings, lunches, dinner and events are jam packed into such a short time frame – Ad:Tech came and went extremely fast this year and Kim and I arrived on Saturday and left on Thursday. This was by far one of the most fulfilling shows on a personal and business level, and it wasn’t just because we were living at the gorgeous St. Regis hotel for 6 days. It was rather exciting to close the acquisition several days before the show, and travel to San Francisco as AKMG, A Neverblue Company. (CHECK OUT OUR NEW LOGO!) We had quite a large amount of representation and members of the team manning the booth at all times. Our new affiliate managers are hustlers and if you fit the mold of a potential traffic gangsta of an affiliate, you definitely weren’t getting by them without giving them a business card! For those of you who stopped by the booth looking for a deck, just be sure to keep in touch with your affiliate manager because we will have one shipped directly to your home or office. The print is pretty slick, but for the sake of surprise I won’t give too many details other than good ole' Franky Blue Eyes graces the top.
AKMG also sponsored the Mailer Meetup for the first time and was very pleased to have done so. The event turned out to be a pretty big success, and the location was very unique while capturing the spirit of San Francisco. It was really exciting to introduce the CEO and VP of Neverblue to our mailer clientele and also show them just how knowledgeable in email the AKMG team is. Since so many of the team attended this show, there were a lot of events we were able to have a presence at such as the Hitpath BBQ, The Engage BDR party and the Marketers Ball. (Thanks for the invites!) All of these parties were fun – But not as fun as the tables we hosted at the Clift on both Monday and Tuesday night. I know I know.... EVERYONE goes to the Clift every year, but it is the spot of Ad: Tech to see and be seen. Most of the times you can get more networking done at the Redwood Room lounge than the actual event show itself! Just in case you were wondering – yes I was there with the usual champagne and stilettos!
The exhibit hall was packed as always, and the AKMG booth always poppin’. Kim and myself even spoke at the conference about the Benefits of Email Marketing for brands. Our speech was a solid 10 minutes, but filled with information to support that email is in fact one of the most profitable forms of CPA marketing. As the industry continues to evolve, so do the conferences on both productivity and benefit levels. Above all, the relationship strengthening opportunities that Ad:Tech brings is worth all the travel, hustle and hangovers because relationships are the key to success in affiliate marketing! Kudos to the Ad:Tech team for putting on such a successful event and thanks to all our clients that took the time to meet with us!

AKMG is pleased announce that we have moved from our eclectic loft space in Santa Monica to a brand new industrial inspired, three story office space in the beachside city of El Segundo. The modern, yet contemporary, new space brings AKMG into it’s 4th year and another fiscally rewarding quarter of business. The new office infrastructure includes many architectural perks such as bamboo wood floors, 14’ vaulted ceilings, 2 patio decks facing the ocean, and plenty of stainless steel beams and slate accents throughout the space. Construction begins Tuesday, March 29th to begin the build out of an additional 500 square feet on the 2nd floor of already aesthetically pleasing space. All members of AKMG will be operating out of the new office despite a little dust and noise over the next 2 weeks.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with Southern California geography, El Segundo is located in the beloved Southbay in between Marina Del Rey and Manhattan Beach. We are only 5 minutes from LAX, so if you are coming out the West side in the near future, be sure to stop by and check out our optimum new space!
